Yes you can reheat roasted potatoes without losing all their delicious flavor!
If you have leftover roasted potatoes and you want to eat them again, here are three quick and easy ways to do it.
In The Oven
This is the easiest way to reheat any kind of potatoes, including roasted
Simply place them in a pan or dish you will be serving them from and put them in a preheated oven at 375-400 degrees. You can also use your stovetop if you prefer. Heat until they are hot through which is from 9-13 minutes.
I like to add parchment paper to my baking sheet before reheating for an easier cleanup. This method works great if you have enough time. Your roasted potatoes will still taste great and they won’t have a weird texture.
In The Frying Pan
If you want to eat your roasted potatoes really quick, you can also heat them up in a frying pan.
Heat the frying pan over medium-low heat, add olive oil, cooking oil, or butter and sauté sliced peppers and onions before your potatoes if desired.
Add your roasted potatoes and heat through until they are hot which is about 5 minutes. If they start to get dry, just add a couple tablespoons of butter.
Serve them as is, or Italian style, or smothered in cheese and sour cream. Go wild!
In The Microwave
While not my favorite method for reheating roasties, it does work if you are in a hurry. Place a paper towel inside a microwaveable dish, place your potatoes on top and heat on high for 1 minutes intervals until potatoes have reached desired temperature.
Microwaves vary so you may need to adjust the time according to your appliance.
How To Season Reroasted Potatoes
There are different ways to season warm potatoes. This is the simplest method and I like it best.
Toss with some chives, salt and pepper or a combination of other herbs and spices. Or, try adding more butter or olive oil. You can also lightly salt them before heating if desired.
How To Store Leftover Roasted Potatoes
Store your roasted potatoes in an airtight container. They will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They will stay good in the freezer for up to 3 months or so. If you want to freeze them, take out as much air as possible, wrap in paper towel and then place inside an airtight container.
Conclusion
Why reheat your potatoes? Well, it’s an easy way to make them as you want them for a meal to come. They are really good reheated when you add bacon, cheese, sour cream or chives.
